LBS/MBS supplies Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

Robert Jackman 2009-10-09

Recently LaValley-Middleton Building Supply was approached by Trumbull-Nelson to explore our involvement in the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (Sundays 8/7c on ABC) project, scheduled to be built in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire. Trumbull-Nelson had been selected by Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to build the house and to assemble a team to do it.

This type of job is all about relationships and who will be involved is based on whom each party knows and the type of relationship they have with each other. The success of the project is based on having many small cogs in a very large wheel. The entire team would consist of about 100 companies and over a thousand volunteers.

LaValley-Middleton Building Supply accepted the challenge; and with the systems of manufacturing, engineering, production scheduling, dispatch, and supply that are in place, we had complete confidence that we could perform effectively on this project.

From the demolition of the old house on thru to the handrail bracket delivery a little after noon; the home was completed in 106 hours. LaValley Middleton Building Supply exceeded every promise made thru a tremendous team effort and the dedication to the projects success. EVERY employee should be very proud of what was accomplished and the part we were able to play in the project.
